There has been a rash of crocheting and knitting at work recently. It's cute. One of our "non-traditional" cougholdcough student employees, Jackie, started the trend, bringing her random crochet projects to work. This led to several other students bringing crochet and knitting with them to work on while they call alumni (I work as a supervisor in OSU's fundraising calling center if you weren't already aware). I decided to work on a blanket for my boss' new baby (due in a week!) and another sup, Amanda asked me to teach her. I taught her a "granny square" pattern, then she taught Matt "Shooter" Simmons how to crochet a "chain stitch." Point of the story? We've got stereo-typical, frat-tastic Shooter Simmons crocheting. I think we're starting a trend ;) All the frats are going to be making mittens and hats soon. Jackie was very sweet and made all the sups scarlet and gray scarves for Christmas. And scarves are my favorite accessory!
Man, I hope Penn State pulls this off. Joe's looking stressed out.
