I loved Calvin and Hobbes by Bill Watterson when I was a kid. My mom did, too, but for very different reasons
. While I laughed at Calvin and Hobbes because he did all sorts of cool things (except for the Girls Are Gross Club, of course), she laughed - sometimes ruefully - because he did all the sorts of things I used to do. She should tell you about the time 8 year old me tried to convince all the neighborhood kids to jump off our garage roof - and actually got most of them up there before she ran out to stop us…
