How about a little racist topping your slice of religious pie??
Christmas Cross I am beyond astonished that anyone would think this was in any way, shape, or form acceptable to display on their front porch!
(For the visually impaired, it's a Christmas decoration for sale, which is a christian cross about four feet tall or so, densely wrapped up in white christmas lights. The effect...is remarkably like a BURNING CROSS!)
I mean. that's beyond outrageous. Of course this is the excreble American Family Association selling these... things ... so I shouldn't be surprised. But I am absolutely appalled... if you are too, you can tell them so right here:
https://store.afa.net/t-contact.aspx I've emailed them, so we'll see what, if anything, they say. My message was as follows:I find the "Christmas Cross" item you offer for sale (at
https://store.afa.net/pc-10000310-11-christmas-cross.aspx) to be in extraordinarily poor taste due to its strong resemblance to a burning cross, which has been used for decades to terrorize and intimidate black people. This is a very unsuitable sentiment for something with a religious purpose, and I suggest that this item be withdrawn, to avoid having people conclude your organization in any way, shape, or form condones racism and racist violence.
Thank you for your attention to this matter.
