Back from visiting the Boyfriend for the last time in Dahlonega. I'm going to miss getting to see him as often as I did and hope that I can get to visit him often and have him visit me often as well.

My room's taking shape! The old furniture is all moved out and my sister's is all moved in! I have floor space and the vent's uncovered, and now all I need is to hunt down some storage stuff and sort out what goes off to donations.

My Dad wasn't very helpful during the whole process. It seems that the older I get, the younger he treats me. I'll explain something to him and instead of listening to me, he'll go on and bring me exactly the opposite of my request, make up something, or say that we don't have what I need without really looking. He kept trying to convince me to put the bed facing a direction that I didn't want today. These antics drive me crazy.

All-Star rosters are out and of course, I do/did my share of the bitching. Honestly, while the fan vote doesn't always turn out 'fair,' I come to terms with that. It's managerial decisions that usually get me pissier than the fan voting. Like the Mike Pelfrey/Joey Votto thing. Pelf's one of three pitchers with ten wins (oh, and a save, I might add) and Manuel turns up his nose. But as always, he finds a way to put Ryan Howard on the team despite the fact that Votto's had a better year than any other first baseman, Howard and Pujols included. The other thing that ticks me off is that he didn't have Bobby Cox on his staff. The guy's retiring at year's end and is one of the winningest managers in the game, but no, he has to go and kiss some west coast ass. Not that I don't love Joe Torre and Bruce Bocce, but the fact that both managers seem determined to suck up to the west coast like that. I mean, that's Bobby Cox, man
