Umbrellas should only come in sizes large and above. As long as the umbrella is straight and doesn't hook I'm fine with the shape. Different colors don't bother me, I do like it when they glow in the dark though. If the umbrella doesn't seem to be in good condition, I insist the person gets a new one. It's just not safe to use the same one over and over, liquid might get through.
