I has a internet!

So after two hours on the phone with my uncle, I have wireless access! Hooray!

Apparently he reprogrammed the wireless router my grandparents have from scratch, and he assigned a static IP address to the printer instead of a dynamic one, and my computer IP address was in conflict with the printer's IP address.

I only sort of understand what that means, but it makes me sound smart when I say that, doesn't it? :-)

I'm seriously considering transferring to Birmingham-Southern College next year. I have seriously had it with Bama. The administration couldn't find its collective ass with both hands and a floodlight. I swear, I think the place is run by trained apes--without the training. They STILL think I owe them $8000. I don't have $8000, and if I did I wouldn't pay them anyway. It's gotten WAY beyond the point of ridiculousness and has now entered into the realm of "Hey, let's go burn down Rose Administration Building; we'd get more results that way."

Birmingham-Southern is a really good school. It's small, and I hear they actually care about students. Also, it's a Methodist college, and I go to a Methodist church (two, actually), so that opens the door for possible scholarships. Furthermore, I know quite a few Methodist ministers through church and Emmaus who would be happy to write me letters of reference. I'm going to talk to Tom (my pastor) Sunday, and depending on what he says, I'll call in some favors with Emmaus preacher-men for references. Dennis is a pastor, and Arlie's starting seminary. I know I know other Methodist pastors, but my brain isn't working so well right now.

Also, I don't know what has possessed me to do this, but I'm actually going to do something nice for my mother on Mother's Day. My therapist thinks this is a good idea. I remain unconvinced, but what have I got to lose, really? She might kick me out--oh, wait, she did that at Christmas. She might refuse to give me more money--oh, she did that last month. Okay, well, I've pretty much hit rock bottom with her, so I might as well, ya know? Also, I need to get Susan a graduation gift. No, I'm not buying her crack or acid, nor am I giving her money. I'm not stoopid.

I think that's all for now.
