Victory!

Game two of intramural soccer ended in a 15-1 defeat over "Just for Kicks." A clever name, but sadly a rather inexperienced team of freshmen. Last week we lost 9-2 to a team that was at our skill level, but we didn't have enough players to field a full team. This season, the intramural department is keeping track of our point deficit, so we went into this game with a 7 point deficit and needed to not only make up for that, but get ahead a little bit. This and the fact that we were really trying to work on passing and making plays before we took shots made us not feel as bad about the the 14 point lead (which could have easily been a 25 point lead). Anyways. Next week there's another game. Hopefully it's some good competition.

In the morning I'm driving out to Hanover to see Yiayia and Pappou. I haven't been out there very much this year because I've been using my semi-free weekends to go up to BU. They've been kind of giving me a hard time about it, so I figured I would go visit for a night. I think Yiayia is going to teach me how to make crabcakes. She is an incredible cook and I want to learn to make as many of her recipes as I can. Unfortunately this is easier said than done because most of her recipes are written in Greek.

Sunday I get to see more family! Theo Jimmy is bringing Manoli out to see Temple. I'm pretty sure Manoli has already put down his deposit there, but I'm not sure if he's ever visited. A lot of the Greek kids from Lancaster go to school there already, so I'm sure he'll enjoy it. It's a shame I won't be at Nova anymore because it would've been fun to go and visit him or something. Anyways after they spend the day at Temple, they're going to stop by KOP and we're going to grab an early dinner. I'm excited!

Time to start a fun weekend!
