Finally dressed properly, Tegoshi hasted his way to the place he guessed Nishikido was most probably at. It was a real wrong decision that he ignored the note left while simply trying to cure his headache. He was reminded of how he took things lightly earlier while sipping his tea slowly. The note actually contained such that kind of message...it had never reached his mind. He would be late, definitely, but he still tried to hope that he would make it on time.

Nishikido was a dangerous man. Tegoshi knew that well, very well, yet he failed to notice that Nishikido wouldn't hesitate to eliminate anything went on his way.I'm going to have a nice talk -- that was what the note contained. Tegoshi could immediately read the real meaning beneath that message. Nishikido was going to do something dangerous. Tegoshi didn't know what he was capable to do yet he could only hope that he could stop it. But of course, he was already late although he hoped that he wouldn't be too late. As long as he managed to arrive on time...he would definitely make sure that nothing bad would happen.

There was only a destination Nishikido would most probably go but it surprised Tegoshi when he couldn't find Nishikido's car anywhere around Yamashita's residence. A maid recognized Tegoshi and greeted him. Tegoshi didn't waste any time to ask where Yamashita was and left the place immediately when he got the answer. The maid must think of him as a weird guy but it didn't mind him at all. There was another thing needed to be done, and he had to do it fast or everything would be too late. The rain had stopped since long so it shouldn't halt Tegoshi's way anymore.

But Tegoshi hated how the bright sky suddenly turned into dark. It brought him a creepy feeling as if something bad would happen real soon. After all, the disaster hadn't even started yet...

####

The day hadn't ended yet but the sky suddenly turned into dark. Black clouds were seen everywhere in the sky as if the sky was ready to cry. The wind blew hard once before nothing was left. It was quiet, so quiet. But it didn't seem to bother two guys who were standing around a tomato field.

Yamashita and Nishikido were currently at Yamashita's other house on the other side of the city. It was quite surprising that Yamashita planted some tomatoes on the back garden of this house yet it was a perfect place to have a nice conversation. Nobody was there, just Nishikido, Yamashita, and Nishikido's chauffeur who were waiting outside. The house wasn't that big either so there were only a few number of maids whom Yamashita had ordered to go away for a while. So if anything happened, nobody would know other that Nishikido and Yamashita. That way, nobody would get on their way either as they would definitely had a real nice chat.

Nishikido took a pack of cigarettes from his pocket, took one, and lit a fire. Exhaling the smoke, Nishikido simply stared at Yamashita with a straight look while simply waiting for the other to start the conversation first. If he really was as clever as Nishikido thought, he must be able to understand what Yamashita meant immediately. If he wasn't that clever that he shouldn't be worthy as a rival which meant that Nishikido had just wasted his time on someone unimportant.

Yamashita couldn't really believe the sight that was waiting for him when he arrived home earlier although he had quite expected it to be happened. Nishikido... It had been a few hours since he last saw Nishikido. Tegoshi might not realize it but Yamashita saw him following Nishikido, and it might be even more surprising if he knew that Nishikido had actually sent a mysterious smile to Yamashita before walking away. He knew in an instant that Tegoshi wouldn't return back for sure if he let him go, yet it was Tegoshi's place to make a choice so he did nothing about it, simply staring until both of them were away from his sight. It was kind of hurting, but he couldn't do anything about it and he hated that. He, after all, didn't own Tegoshi.

Rather than feeling strange, Yamashita immediately understood what Nishikido probably wanted so he didn't waste any time and arranged things immediately. There were too many people inside his residence. Nishikido didn't say anything but Yamashita knew well that he wanted a quieter place to talk. Besides, Yamashita didn't really like if others knew his private matters easily.

Yamashita could clearly smell the smoke of Nishikido's cigarette. For some reason he hated the smell and the smile curving up in Nishikido's mouth. It was annoying. He wanted to tear those smile away so much.

"So what do you want from me?" Yamashita finally decided to ask. The endless silence was too annoying for him and it would be better to finish things as soon as possible.

He found it even more annoying when Nishikido only exhaled his smoke, ignoring Yamashita's question completely. But of course he didn't want to show his annoyance or Nishikido would look down upon him. The only thing left for him to do was just waiting for the answer.

"I don't think we really have much to discuss about, don't you agree? And I don't even need to say what about since you have known it. Or else you won't prepare this quiet place, right?" the smirk was curving up in Nishikido's mouth.

Tegoshi... Just as what Yamashita had thought, it was about Tegoshi. He had a lot to talk about but he was sure that Nishikido had already understood it even before he said anything. So what left was only the conclusion. None of them really need to know the other motives as it wouldn't solve anything. They were rivals at the first place. So it's the conclusion needed.

Nishikido took something inside his jacket and showed it to Yamashita with a smirk stayed still in his mouth. A gasp was heard yet Yamashita gained his composure again immediately.

A few droplets of rain poured from the sky while the two guys were staring to each other.

Tegoshi finally arrived there where he could see Nishikido's car outside. The place was quiet, or rather nobody was outside other than Nishikido's chauffeur. He proceeded inside the house when he found that it wasn't locked at all. The uneasy feeling came upon him again, as if something bad was going to happen without Tegoshi able to do anything about it.

The house was way smaller than that of the house Yamashita was currently living in but it had the similar relaxing feeling. Too bad nobody was there to make things livelier. Tegoshi suddenly remembered that he was not here just to admire this house. He had to stop Nishikido, for whatever things he might do to harm Yamashita. Tegoshi, after all, knew well that Nishikido wouldn't hesitate on every steps he took, not for this one too.

He finally stopped when he caught the sight of a tomato field from the glass window inside the house. There he could finally find the two persons he had been looking for. They were talking and Tegoshi couldn't hear what they were talking about at all since the window glass covered him. But whatever it was, he was glad that he's not late. Yamashita was still alive.

But the relief feeling didn't last long as he saw the thing Nishikido took from his jacket. He knew that thing well, or even too well. The late uncle Nishikido showed his this thing which he would give later to Nishikido Ryo as a birthday present. That gun...

####

Yamashita couldn't help to feel a bit frightened when he saw the thing showed to him. But the smirk in Nishikido's mouth aroused his annoyance, hence it overwhelmed his fear. "What? You want to kill me?"

But it seemed like Nishikido wasn't that affected by Yamashita's question. Instead he held it and pointed it straight to Yamashita. Yamashita had to gulp when he saw that as he guessed what Nishikido was probably going to do to him.

"Let's say... I only put one bullet here and I will shoot only once in this direction only. I won't move even an inch from here. So, it's your choice." Nishikido said in a fast tone.

Fear was not the main case again now while Yamashita simply stared at Nishikido, smirk curving up in his mouth, taking the challenge the older man declared. "Do it, then."

Pulling the trigger, the smirk in Nishikido grew even wider. This should be the end...

####

Nothing could frighten Tegoshi more than this now. It was life they were putting stake at. Tegoshi wondered why the two of them were so calm, even Yamashita. It was a gun for god's sake.

Tegoshi knew that it was started because of him. All of these were his fault. They shouldn't make the decision to finish things, Tegoshi should. Tegoshi would put the end of this for once forever.

His fear grew bigger and bigger until he couldn't feel it again. Once outside, he ran as fast as he could and stood between the two of them before the pain pierced him while blood started covering his clothes. There were no regret for Tegoshi since he wouldn't have to feel the pain anymore after this.

Tegoshi looked upon the sky. Rain started pouring down hard. He looked around through the field. It was red, the tomatoes were red. He looked down for the last time. Just as he had thought, tomato's redness couldn't compete with that of the mix of water and his blood. Just for once, Tegoshi could feel grateful of the rain.

His vision was getting blurred. He lost his hearing, he lost his power. Tired. That was the only thing he could feel. All of these were too tiring so he wanted to sleep. Slowly, Tegoshi closed his eyes...

####

This shouldn't have happened. Yamashita thought that he would move a bit at the end so the bullet would miss its target, yet suddenly Tegoshi was standing in front of him. Getting panic, he approached the falling Tegoshi. "Tegoshi, Tegoshi!" he said, while shaking Tegoshi's body a bit.

It was his fault. But then, he didn't know that Tegoshi was there, moreover shielding him. Yamashita had completely forgotten of Nishikido's existence as Tegoshi slowly closed both of his eyes. Suddenly a pair of hand took Tegoshi away from his embrace. Yamashita didn't really want to let it go, yet his feet couldn't move. It must have been the result of his earlier feet. Stunned, Yamashita could only watch Nishikido carried Tegoshi away from him while rain kept pouring as if it would never end.

If only he could turn back time...

Ryo's Side Story

Ryo hated Tegoshi.

Even from the first time they met, he had held the grudge to the smaller boy.

Ryo couldn't really recall how many times his father told him about this small boy who would live inside their house together from that day on. That was the first time his father finally looked at him since his mother's death.

His mother. Ryo couldn't forget about her even for just a second. A few people said that it was his fault that his mother lost her life, but his mother told him that it was nobody's fault. His father wasn't there when his mother passed away and since that day, he was ignored by his own father.

But just for this mere boy, his father finally looked at him again. That only had made him happy, thus he promised his own self that he would be kind to this little boy, just for his father's sake.

That was the oath Ryo made. When Ryo finally got the chance to meet Tegoshi in person, he couldn't help to feel a bit happy about it. The smaller boy was so cute. Ryo couldn't help to be mesmerized by his first impression of Tegoshi. He was so sure that they could get along well.

But jealousy was so evil. His father loved that small boy more than him and he hated that. If only his father cared about him more. He even wished that his father would rather die than alive while showering his love to Tegoshi, not to his own son.

At the end, he was the one regretting his own wish when his father died later, leaving his wealth and position to Ryo. That was the first time Ryo felt that he won over Tegoshi. It was rather relieving that Tegoshi decided to stay still inside Nishikido households. He said that he was there for Ryo. Ryo could only laugh over that. His father might have fell for that personality of Tegoshi, but Ryo wouldn't be tricked by it. But he let him live inside his house. That way he could get the revenge of him.

Was he satisfied by it? No. The more he understood Tegoshi, the more he felt the ache in his heart. Even without him realizing it, he became too attached of Tegoshi and his heart became even more painful than ever.

But Ryo told himself that it was a stupid tricked. He shouldn't just give up easily; there should be a way.

That was the start of him using Tegoshi for his own purposes. Tegoshi wouldn't dare to run away from him either. Tha pain in his heart started to disappear slowly. He loved it so much. He finally got his winning again. Tegoshi, as what he had thought previously, was nothing that great.

But that was only until Ryo asked Tegoshi to keep an eye on Yamashita. Slowly but for sure, Tegoshi started to go away from him. At first Ryo ignored that as he was confident that Tegoshi wouldn't leave from his side. But slowly, he felt the distance between him and Tegoshi even more. Ryo wouldn't let that happen, of course, but he was too confident that Tegoshi wouldn't run no matter what. He loved Ryo after all while Ryo was simply toying around with his feeling. But just to make sure of things, Ryo asked Tegoshi to choose. Tegoshi would definitely choose him.

His belief was proven wrong when Tegoshi didn't return that night. He was so disappointed and angered because of it. His trust was in vain while the pain in his heart appeared again. It was all Tegoshi's fault. He would definitely pay for it all.

Ryo hated Tegoshi so much.

A toy shouldn't have toyed around with his own master. A disobedient toy should be disposed. Ryo knew that well while that thought itself had reached his mind a few times. But then he did nothing about it. Ryo simply waited in front of Tegoshi's university gate each single day. Waiting and waiting while the pain grew even bigger. Tegoshi should regret that he made Ryo felt this much of a pain. Ryo would make sure of that.

But then, he couldn't deny how glad he was seeing Tegoshi at last. The pain disappeared in an instant although he felt a small pain when he saw Yamashita. But it was his winning, so he left Yamashita there, mourning over his lost.

Too bad that he was actually the loser. Yamashita took his toy, his precious toy. He wouldn't let that. And it all simply happened. Ryo only wanted to claim his toy back. His toy, not Yamashita's toy.

He had hoped that the pain would disappear, but it's not. What was this feeling? All of this happened because of Tegoshi and stopped because of him too. Yamashita was the bad guy as he simply snatched his toy from him. Everyone should know that it was a bad thing to snatch thing from others, moreover from a dangerous man like Nishikido Ryo.

But Ryo knew well that there should be an end of everything. Ryo went to see Yamashita and glad when he knew that Yamashita was not as stupid as he thought he would be. Once for all... This should be the end. He would really let go of Tegoshi if it meant he could eased his pain away. He was too tired of keeping this toy who had brought lots of pain to him.

"Let's say... I only put one bullet here and I will shoot only once in this direction only. I won't move even an inch from here. So, it's your choice."

That was the challenge he gave to Yamashita. Either way, he had decided to end this stupid feeling. He didn't need any feeling at all. Nishikido Ryo was supposed to be a cold man who didn't need any weak feeling.

But Tegoshi shouldn't have been there.

Ryo couldn't move at first, simply watching when Tegoshi fell down slowly while Yamashita approached Tegoshi histerically. He, for once, felt so sad that Tegoshi left him. He left him. But Ryo was too calm for a guy whose heart was feeling a great pain.

Ryo hated Tegoshi too much.

The pain was there again until Ryo couldn't take it anymore. At last he knew, he shouldn't let Tegoshi go. Slowly, he walked and took Tegoshi away, back to his own house.

It had been a few days while Ryo simply having his breakfast outside, such a thing that he had never done for ages. The morning sky was clear as the sun shined brightly. After he finally finished his meal, Ryo walked through the corridor and stopped until he reached a certain room. He stepped down the hidden stair to the basement where a few people greeted him.

A guy was lying down in a bed in the middle of the room. Ryo walked slowly, approaching the bed, while simply staring it with a daring look.

Come back soon...
