I know. I live at the beach. Please don't point out the obvious. Humor me. On our trip many people responded as follows when we told them where we were from: "Norfolk? Huh. Why don't you go to Virginia Beach?" That's a subject for a 'nuther post

Welcome back, happy person. I'm glad you were able to find Sheldon a good home (I'm sure Sheldon's happy, too.) although I'd have been inclined to frisbee him back into the depths. (Okay, I wouldn't really have frisbeeed him.)

Sounds like New Bern hasn't changed that much, at least so far as the municipal schizophrenia is concerned. They never did know whether to wind their butt or scratch their watch.

Thank you, by the way, for making me miss the ocean even more than I had been. I'll get you for that one day, and your little dog, too.
