He ran through the woods, looking back at the townspeople chasing him. They had brands in their hands, the wood burning brightly. It was pre-dawn and he was slowing down ready for death to take him again.
‘Where is my maker?’ he thought. Not that he really wanted to be anywhere near his maker but he was still a young vampire and uncertain.
Though they were human he could smell their bloodlust as they got closer. All too soon he hit something solid. He looked into his maker’s eyes. Lorena moved Bill to the side and slaughtered her child’s foes.
