At another house in Bon Temps the radio was blaring the same tune. Having just gotten out of the shower and wrapped only in a towel a hand wiped the steam off the bathroom mirror. Time to get ready for work. With hips swaying mascara was applied. Fine lines were drawn with eyeliner and after much deliberation the perfect color of eye shadow was applied. A nice bright red lipstick was chosen. Years of practice showed up in the perfect mouth.
“Oh yeah baby. Aretha you is the one.” Lafayette blew a kiss to his reflection and left for work.
