music festival, new teacher
the music festival last saturday was loads of fun. i was camped out at the dj stage almost all day, but did catch some live music and dance performances at the other 4 stages. i feel honored for the invite to spin.
there were two djs from guatemala city, one who migrated from france about 8 years ago, three djs from xela, me and josh aka nice weiss from LA. dj-d at an afterparty that was also fun.
the rain hurt turn-out, but we had fun dancing in it. ;)

in other news, i started studying with a new teacher last week and i'm really enjoying it. he taught for 13 years in a school and has been doing private classes for the last 4. in addition to a great all-around teaching style, he uses a bunch of classic rock references to explain meaning/usage.
