He didn’t think about it that much after they returned from the future. Irie’s explanation mostly flew over his head, and Gokudera’s actually somehow made it worse. Really, he didn’t think about it at all until he was clutching a cup of water in a white-knuckled grip and staring unseeing at the sign above the operating room of a hospital with the smell of blood and antiseptic and sterile walls filling his nose.

“He might never walk again,” the doctors said, and it was just so unfairAfter that he couldn’t help but see it whenever he looked at them, the spread of infinite alternate possibilities like cards fanned out before him. Every time Gokudera made one of those excited sweeping gestures with artistic fingers Tsuna wondered if there was some parallel world where he sat on stage in a tuxedo, playing the piano for thousands of people. Or when the sun caught Yamamoto’s eyes just right and he stretched himself to feel the spring breeze and Tsuna knew there were worlds and worlds and worlds where Yamamoto stood on a baseball diamond

Beautiful! I like how Tsuna saw both the good and bad things that would happen in those worlds, and it's scary to think of how easily these things could have happened. And the end bit was really sweet. XD
