Happy birthday Glenn!

Apr 26, 2011 15:04

Can't believe it's come around again so quick but yep, folks, it's Glenn's birthday!

So, in bros_destruct tradition, allow me to present the birthday picspam!

Happy birthday, Glenn, twin-with-a-birthday-three-days-after-mine (we'll just ignore those pesky few years of age difference, shall we? ;-) ) - hope it's a good one! Specially since you kicked it off right, picking up the Tag Team Championship again last week!

Seriously, I got so much good stuff this year, it's hard to know where to start! But how about a real blast from the past with . . .

The Christmas Creature!!

And, as an added bonus, if you click here, you can read a great article about this!

Plus, because you know I'm all about the giving, check this out - the Christmas Creature updated!

Snagged this little beauty from here!

I know Glenn's said that he found the Isaac Yankem character a bit . . . less than stellar, but I gotta say this. I've got a serious dentist phobia but I would happily put myself in his hands!

Yes, doctor! [/end random Little Shop of Horrors reference]

Quick candid from about that era, because pics of Glenn without the mask and with hair and beard are rarer than hen's teeth!

Of course, he moved on to being the Big Red Monster and . . . happy place! I think this is from his (extremely) short-lived reign as WWE Champion - certainly the costuming points to that.

Oh my . . . a black version of the masked Kane costume. Oh my! -fans self-

This one I found on a terrific website which has a couple of interviews with Glenn that make good reading!

Ove the years, the costume got . . . skimpier. Well hell, what else would you call it? The damn thing almost had more see through panels at the end than it had actual spandex! See me complaining? ;-)

Then it went to buckles and leather, and the fangirls were sad . . . until the mask started shrinking, and Kane got chatty!

Hey look dangerpuddle, I found a bigger version of your icon! ;-)

You want to talk rarer than hen's teeth? How's this then - Kane in the see through costuming, sans mask backstage! Unfortunately bleeding - don't like that part all that much.

Then came the day Kane was unmasked . . . this is rather clever, don't you think? Snagged it from here.

This is a rather nice wallpaper with both versions of Kane!

Which comes from an amusing website full of fantabulous links!

So now it's probably time for some in-ring shots, huh?

Much love for this one! Look how dementedly pleased he looks at the dents on that trash can and lid - wonder who's skull did that?

Had to include this one with Show - look at that grin! Might have been the first time they picked up the tag belts, but aw hell, who doesn't like seeing him so happy?

And yep, much love for the fact that second time around, they are still as happy at having the tag team belts! That seriously was a great early birthday present!

And found this one that amuses the shit out of me for Show's t-shirt!! Kane should so wear the same shirt!! ;-)

Objectively, I know full damn well that strapping around the belly means nothing - if it really were ribs that were needing taping, well his ribs are about half a foot higher than that! But I see bandages and . . . cue the hurt/comfort impulses! Damn you, WWE, with your kayfabe injuries! ;-)

(I'm actually willing to admit I'm the perfect mark and will willingly suspend any and all disbelief to swallow storyline hook, line and sinker!)

Ooh, Kane filling out a pod in the Elimination Chamber! Yummy! Plus, we get a bellybutton closeup and you all know how I feel about that bellybutton! ;-)

Kane in broad daylight! Taken at the 2010 Tribute to the Troops show at Fort Hood in Texas . . . something about seeing him in daylight is just frying my brain, big time!

Couldn't let this birthday spam pass without a shot of Kane as World Heavyweight Champion last year! Long long overdue and certainly something this little fanbrat delighted in! Made a pretty neat belated birthday present for us both, hey big guy? ;-)

This is the new bio shot from Kane's Superstar page on WWE.com. Another one of those shots that pushes buttons for me. The little cut on his forehead, for the hurt/comfort impulses, the suggestion of freckles on that beautiful skin, the little fuzz of body hair, the bunny fuzz - God, how that man rocks the bunny fuzz . . . -le sigh-

Promo shot as segue, cos I'm all clever and shit like that! ;-)

This one comes from a website with a lengthy interview with Glenn/Kane about "See No Evil" - see what I did there? ;-)

Promo shot from the premiere of "See No Evil" - god, how it must have sucked to have to turn up to his first feature film premiere in tights!! Still, he does look good half naked!

Fast forward to this year, where Glenn appeared as Tanker Lutz in "MacGruber".

Along with some other guys you might recognise! ;-)

He even got to wear a tux in this one! Even if he was a ghost at the time! (Note to self: must look for this movie on DVD, damnit! EDIT: It starts on cable here tomorrow! So gonna be watching it!)

And oh, hey, check it - another seque! God, I amaze myself sometimes! ;-)

Kane in a tux again as he inducts Pete Rose into the Hall of Fame in 2004 as the first ever celebrity inductee - this is porn like you wouldn't believe! Because it's Glenn being himself, being funny, being adorable . . .

It's so damn good, I got to include the video!

And Pete Rose with his crack about "I didn't realise Kane was so ugly!" has everyone breaking up!

-crows- Another great find this year - utssq has this for an icon, and I finally found a larger size version of it! Gotta love a sharp dressed man! ;-)

(For those who've been living under a rock, see my post here on bros_destruct with Kane's appearance in a sublimely beautiful tux at this year's Hall of Fame Induction!)

"Wrestler Kane attends the EW and SyFy party during Comic-Con 2010 at Hotel Solamar on July 24, 2010 in San Diego, California."

And looks damn fine and fuckable! Ooops, did I say that out loud? ;-)

In 2009, Glenn did a promotional tour to India (while those fucknuckles in Creative wondered what the hell to do with him on SmackDown following him being "drafted" there). Been a lot of those shots that I posted on bros_destruct, but I found this one that's an absolute keeper!

Damnit, I love seeing any of the guys really having a good time, but it's a little more rare to find Glenn looking so amused!

Again in India, and credited to The Times of India Group . . . another of those heart-tugging DILF shots! Yeah, Big Scary Red Monster right there!

I am so grateful to Glenn for the wonderful entertainment he's been providing to all of us for so many years. I'm especially grateful to my friend panthology for generously sharing her prize tickets to the show in Melbourne, Australia last year, because I got to see Kane as World Heavyweight Champion and that's a memory, like my ones of him and 'Taker together in Brisbane in 2008, that I will always cherish.

So here's to a happy birthday, Glenn, and a fantastic year to come!

picspam, 2011, happy birthday glenn, kane
