first one
whee i've finally got one of these things after much resistance. for my first entry i will start with last thursday because if i don't this will be a rather short entry. last thursday kickfish played at sin 13 = hot. a good few people were there including i think our largest keystone gathering ever. i had the most fun i've ever had on stage and the band before us was reeally good. then after that a bunch of people went to brindelsand i got to talk to ashley for the first time in a few weeks.
next thing worth writing about was the simon and garfunkel concert in austin tuesday night. it was absolutely ridiculously amazing. probably one of the best concerts ive ever been to...not so much for the shear quality of the performance (even though both of them sounded amazing) but because i was brought up on simon and garfunkel and so many of the songs have deeper meaning. best songs of the night: sound of silence, mrs.robinson, only living boy in new york, and bridge overtroubled waters. they basically played their greatest hits album. i still can't belive how great garfunkel's voice still sounded. so yeah we drove back and on the way my car hit 20,000 miles *tear*. she's getting to be so grown up.
wednesday i saw arthur...not much to say about that. it wasnt what i expected. even keira knightley was just a little too weird for me in that leather harness thing.
today i volunteered at the hospital...got there about an hour late. soo we ate lunch and then jas and i drove the golf cart around the parking lot looking like morons. we tested the braking (meaning we went really fast downhill and the slammed on the brakes. it took the width of 4 parking spots to stop. definitely not a waste of time). then we found 2 new sidewalks we could drive on and i tried to go on a third one but i got stuck and had to back out...very embarassing. i think the old people are scared of us. after that i went to band practice still decked out in my volunteer clothes. then we had a great time cutting out the heads of people in magazines and taping them to other peoples bodies. we ended up with ken lay wearing a bra and a guy with a dog head and about 30 others. after that we went to white rabbit to play our show. not many people there and someone who said they'd come didnt...its ok though. then we went to amy's and played with silly putty. and i drove chris's behemoth (aka the van).
so thats my story for the past few days...
