Deutsche-Amerikanische Freundschaft are okay, in a German industrial band kind of way. Like so many of these bands, they have the whiff of fascist sympathies about them, but I'm not sure if the rumors are true.
One of my favorite Negativland records is a concept album about Pepsi.
Plastic People of the Universe are better in theory than practice; they were a radical Czech band that played secret gigs under pain of imprisonment and inspired the Velvet Revolutionaries, but the records sound kind of tepid to me.

Boyd Rice and NON just plain suck. I can't stand that crypto-fascist garbage. He once made a record where the lyrics were all taken from Goebbels' speeches. Lame.
All of Sally Timm's solo stuff is great.
Some of the members of This Heat later formed a weird folk band with accordions; they're supposed to be great. The dude who's going to interview your dad for the oral history project keeps promising to send me a CD.
