what i learned in my month-long involuntary unemployment experiment:
-dry black beans, once cooked, are way more delicious than canned ones (and so much cheaper!)
-parents are kind. boyfriends are kinder. friends are the kindest of all.
-you can do anything you put your mind to, even selling your beloved clothing that has taken you years to collect
-if i can make enough money for rent and bills, everything else on top is gravy
-you can always convince someone to buy food if you promise to cook it for them
-keep moving. you can cry and kick rocks while you do it, but you can't stop going forward.
now hopefully i haven't sabotaged myself by already asking if i can take time off for key west. although if i do get fired i still have that other temp job starting in two weeks mmm hmm
