Homophones

As I perused my way through the ABC/Grey's Anatomy message boards, I came across a thread titled "If B.S. [Brooke Smith] were let go due to the storyline..." It wasn't headed in a great direction... basically one person voicing an opinion in a less-than-intelligent way and lots of others refuting his/her statements. Eventually the original poster- in a rush, I'm sure, to get their opinion out so that we would all stop "screaming discrimination"- was not very diligent in proofing their post. They ended up quoting "us people" [those who are upset about the firing of Brooke Smith- whether or not we've said anything about discrimination] as "screaming discrimination" and saying "ABC are homophones!" Yes- homophones.

And well, this made me laugh so ridiculously hard I just couldn't contain myself! So I replied saying that in honor of the hilarity in this poor editing I am officially making my phone gay. So now I have a homophone and I take it everywhere I go! I honestly laughed out loud... while sitting by myself at the computer! It was a fabulous moment!

So the point? This poster could have avoided such an accidental comic ass-making moment if they'd only put as much effort into reading what they're writing as they do in telling "us people" that we need to get over it. Just had to write this down so that I could remember it forever!

Here's the link to the thread in case anyone stumbles over this blog and actually reads it.
