Oh my...

Ummm...well...where do I start? It has been months since I last updated this thing. In that time I turned 19, celebrated the holidays, lost the hope scholarship (sniff) and returned to school.

Nothing really noteworthy has happened in my life really. I mean...I got a car, I got a job, so all I need now is a girlfriend. We'll see if that happens anytime soon.

I had one of those weeks where you can only look back on it and shake your head. Monday was a pretty average day...just school and work and then I went home. On Tuesday I went to work and afterwards, like always, I took my co-workers home to the village.

After leaving the Vill I got on the highway to get home. Close to the exit there was definitley construction so I had to merge into the right lane because they had cones set up. As I'm moving to merge this big mack truck is speeding not letting me pass. I had a couple of choices to make. I could either stop in the narrowing lane and let the truck destroy me, try to get in front of the truck and run the risk of getting hammered by it, or get out of its way.

Since I'm writing here today, I clearly had to make the move out of its way. Unfortunatley it was into a cone which I crushed and which put a dent on the front side of my new car. Boy am I still pissed about that! Grrr....

Wednesday was my dad's birthday so I went and spent some money on his presents. I also put gas in my car, bought a lab card, gave my sister lunch money and gave my mother money for the doctor. I then went to school, had class, played spades and did some studying with my friend Loni. We had gone out for dinner in the evening after I left school. I had a big Anatomy test on Thursday so I went to sleep 2 @ 12 and woke back up around 2. I decided that I didnt care that much about the test to be getting just two hours of sleep so I went back to sleep. I definitley woke up around 4 am to finish studying for that test. I climbed into bed around 6:30 but never went back to sleep.

I go to school on thursday and take the test. I can't even comment on that test because I have really no clue how I did on it. I go home, come back to da A for work. Work was a little crazier than usual. Intramurals was going on and there were a couple of injuries. We ended up getting out a little later than what we'd like. I take Lauren (my co-worker), home to the village and visit with my dear friend Erica. After I leave Erica's room I stop by and see Sherry and Rebekah. They see the fatigue in my face and tell me to be careful. Rebekah tells me not to fall asleep on the wheel. I was determined not to let that happen.

I get on the highway and I am driving home. I'm going above the speed limit, but really who on the highway isnt? Evidently none were going faster than me because I definitley got pulled over by the Atlanta Police.

The guy told me I was going 92 in a 55! 92! I had no idea I was going THAT fast. And I truthfully thought the speed limit was 65. My mistake. Lucky for me that the cop believed me when I told him how tired I was and I just trying to get home so I wouldn't fall asleep on the wheel. He told me he could take my liscence, impound my car, AND take me to jail. He was mean. But he let me go so I guess he wasnt such a bad guy afterall.

I finally get home and when I got into my bed...that was it for me. I slept for a good 10 hours. It felt good.

A bright side of the week was I got my refund check and got to meet up with my friend Vashti.

I got a basketball game tomorrow night. Wish me luck...

Hopefully I'll be on this bad boy a little more often.

Until next time...
