I'm listening to the RENT movie soundtrack. Me likes! Granted that not every song from the Broadway musical is there, even if the OST is a double disc album, but I think it's still good. Then again, I'm not exactly a Renthead, so I wonder what their opinions will be *cough*

If you liked Idina Menzel, download 'Defying Gravity' from the musical, 'Wicked'. :3

But yeah, low expectations makes the pain easier to handle if it's brain scorching, hehe.
Alright, will download 'Defying Gravity' ^^.

Lemme know what you think of 'Defying Gravity'. :D

You have bootleg versions of the Broadway production? Where can I get those?
Defying Gravity... I like the duet. I actually d/led the album after listening to that :P That song is actually pretty sad, both parties stating their case and realizing that the other person don't want the same thing, with one person going against the mainstream ideal... the end of a relationship. Aw. Er, didn't mean to make it so slash-hoyaytastic, but sometimes they sound that way... to me :p. But ya know, parting of friends based on differences of principle, always sad ^^

Bootlegs and "trenchcoat copies" of the musicals are usually found on Limewire if you search really, really hard and wait for awhile. My more hardcore friends in the musical theater organization did the dirty work. ^^;
Have you listened to entire album? It's based on the novel 'Wicked', a retelling of 'The Wizard of Oz' from the perspectives of the good and bad witch. That alone promises mucho subtext. xD Just listen to 'What is this feeling', heeheehee!

Limewire? Argh, that thing doesn't agree with my comp. Tried kazaa, but no dice. I'll try kazaa. Er, if I fail, would it be a hassle to send me copies?
Hehe, Wicked. I almost bought the novel at QB last year, but it's so damn expensive... for me, at the time. Maybe I'll buy it next year. Hopefully I'll be able to get it then. I've read the libretto, and I like it muchly. Heh, I've always thought that Dorothy is a whiny brat from watching the movie (sorry, Judy Garland), it's no wonder I empathize with Elphaba more than I do her. Er, yeah, I sided with the Wicked Witch of the West long before I knew about Wicked. Hehe, 'What is this feeling' is subtexty. And 'For Good'? Is saaad.
Mia, Mia, how come we never had these chats when you were still in Jakarta? ^^

I always wondered what Glinda's shtick with Elphaba is. Poor Elphaba, a product of bad PR. I should finish that novel. @_@
Well, tis only recently that the musical theater scene's become more mainstream. xD Waah, I should have broken you girls in earlier! xD

Wasn't too keen on Cats, and only glanced through Les Miserables. What? They're all from the early 90s you say (with the exception of Grease)? Yeah, well... yeah^^. Didn't get much access when I moved back here, oy.

Cats was from the late 1980s -- it's not much, honestly, unless you're a sentimental twat. It's better seen than heard because the choreography is GORGEOUS. Grease was from the 1970s, I think. Les Miserables is one of those better seen than heard, but they have one or two memorable songs.
Ah, I intended to send some broadway soundtracks to you, Anne, and Indri for christmas. x3

Oh yeah, I forgot, the first musical I felt in love with? The Sound of Music *sheepish*. I was around 6 or something^^.
What would you like for christmas?
