Faith eyes him, taking another step in. "Are you really? Because my powers came back, so if you're Angelus, I'm prefectly capable of dealing with you."
Faith studies him for another minute, then closes the door, locks it behind her much as Angelus did hers, and crosses the room to stand in front of him. "Angel."
She drops to her knees and pulls him close, hugging him, saying the words she knows he needs to hear, the words she needs to say. "It's not your fault."
"To Dawn? Yeah, I know. And to Alanna. It's not your fault. It's maybe a little hard for Dawn to see that now...but she'll figure it out. As for why it happened...I think I know."
"From what I can figure, the Lord of Dreams got...possessed, or turned evil or something, and got into everybody's heads. Bernard went nuts and so did the bar...people were trying to off themselves..." OK, one person that she knows of, but she's not telling Angel about Meg. Meg would kill her. Or stuff her in the tutu and never let her out. Either way, badness. "Everything was nuts. If I hadn't lost my powers - which was totally seperate, by the way - I probably would have been affected too, being sensitive to that stuff. Good thing B wasn't around."
He sighs. "And there I was, being my own version of a nightmare. It was like I could see it happening and I couldn't stop it, Faith. I was fighting him and it wasn't working..." He once more lays on his back, too tired to sit up any longer.
Faith lies down next to him, propping her chin on an elbow so she can look him in the eyes. "I know, Angel. It's not your fault." She hesitates, then, very quietly, "Somebody tried to hang herself in the middle of the bar. Had no control over her own actions. The fact that you could even try to fight just goes to prove how strong you are."
"And it's because I'm so strong that I'm so dangerous...that he's so dangerous. Faith I...Alanna will forgive me, you'll forgive me...but Dawn? Do you know how sick I feel? That I'd even..."
"Hey." Faith straightens, giving Angel a Look. "Dawn's not without blame there, you know. I mean, yeah, she thought you were you, but she knows how much B loves you...so she thought she was sleeping with the love of her sister's life. And she's old enough to know better. Young enough to think it's real love, maybe, but still old enough to know it would hurt B." She sighs, flopping backward. "Besides...it's mostly my fault."
Faith eyes him for a second, then sits up, pulls out a knife - best, probably, not to ask from where, cuts her wrist open and, with no preamble, holds it out over his mouth, dripping her blood on his lips.
But his resistance is low. He's hungry and...He takes her wrist, pressing his lips to it and sucking, as slowly as he can manage. He will not hurt her.

Angel slowly sits up. His lips are chapped, face paler than usual. This is what happens when vampires are starving though.

He hugs her back, not as tightly as he would have had he had all of his energy.
"I don't even know why it happened, Faith."
