The last half of this summer has been very surreal. I hate being in limbo, stuck halfway between the end of summer and the beginning of school.
I've almost been home an entire week, and I think that my English is getting better! I'm remembering more words, but unfortunately I'm still having trouble remembering some very basic words. For instance, yesterday I could not remember the word for celery. I just pointed at it and said, "that green, stringy stuff!" Today, I thought that the word for "hammer" was "knife." Oh dear. The good news is that this is MUCH better than my English vocabulary has been in a few weeks. I'm afraid that I can't say the same for my already dwindling Spanish...
The highlight of my week was getting to shop with Kristen this evening! We went to several different stores, but it was a little bit difficult to buy dorm items without knowing exactly what to get. Kristen found an amazing Asian art print(among other things!), and I bought a mirror that I plan to etch. Each time we discuss our dorm room I become more excited about moving back to Conway. I'm sure that the time will fly by; I have work, Team Global, Jenna's wedding, my birthday, and then the beginning of classes! August is already looking like it will be an exciting month.
