Tesria is hosting an auction through 24 June to assist a family with huge medical bills. The details:

Being chronically ill costs money, especially when you're in the USA and insurance covers little of it.

The family of fire_and_a_rose is in tens of thousands of dollars of medical debt. We are attempting to hold an auction to help them in any way, no matter how small. You may auction off you ability to write a story (give a minimum length, and the “winner” can request the topic), or to draw art - to offer one, or five - or to offer pieces of knitting, or clothing, comics, books, or something similar if you prefer something tangible.

The situation is increasingly desperate; both fire_and_a_rose and her mother have lyme and bartonella, while fire_and_a_rose has babesia as well, and has been in treatment for over a decade, with progress finally showing with a switch to a new doctor in the past year. It’s thousands of dollars each months in bills. Her mother will cease to see a doctor if necessary, or to treat to a lesser extent, but obviously they would like to avoid that.

Please, comment here with what you are willing to auction off, and the number - all pertinent details.

And then advertise. Advertise, advertise, advertise. Link this everywhere. Please.

People can begin bidding under comments immediately upon seeing something they are interested in (outline for how to go about it is below); people can continue to list items to auction up until June 20th. Bidding will continue until the 24th, at which point the final winners will be declared and money sent to a paypal account that belongs to fire_and_a_rose. The entire amount will be listed after counted, and the amount presented to her parents.

I am offering (as separate lots) volumes 1 and 2 of Erich von Gotha's Les Malheurs de Janice (extremely explicit non-con French comic graphic novels). (Links are to the covers of the books. Seriously NWS.]
rymenhild is offering sonnets, villanelles, and the like. sotto_voice (someone I do not know, but for whom
rymenhild can vouch) is offering cookies with drabbles (apparently vegan and Sherlock Holmes are among the options).
