Time Magazine Critics Pick 100 books

Huh.

Time Magazine critics pick the 100 best English-language novels from 1923 to the present.

I really find the list...odd. Also interesting. And not just because I've read slightly less than half of them. Some of trhem are without question deserving of being there, but then there are several books missing that truly surprise me.

Where is Kazuo Ishiguro's Remains of the Day?

I'd ask where most of E.M. Forster's works are, but those were written slightly before 1923...and why that date as opposed to 1900?? The 1923 date excludes Henry James, most of Forster, Booth Tarkington's The Magnificent Ambersons, etc.

Still, worth a look. :)
