I'm very tired now and I can hardly think but still I can think of one question.
Why does Darken not trust Ergemont? I thought Egremont was totally loyal. But anyway if he proves himself unworthy of trust in the future he can always be Confessed... It's not like Rachel will be wearing a Rada'Han all the time. It's just for sexytiems.
So I'm a little confused here.

I like the way the chapter is written. Though I don't like the chapter itself. It's so... cold. I know that's where the things are supposed to go... But it's like watching a train wreck. It's horrible but there's nothing you can do about it. You're helpless. And for me it feels like the chapter is filled with helplessness, misunderstandings, pain, frustration and hatred.

Dark chapter is dark.

You've done a great job! Sometimes I even wish it was just a little less great cause it would not hurt so much then.

But I love your story both despite and because it's truthful painful darkness.

Sorry for this senseless babbling. It's just been a rough day for me and I'm incoherent.

Sorry you didn't care for the chapter BB.

I didn't intend for it to be cold, but I guess it is rather dry. I think I may be getting a little emotionally exhausted myself.

Egremont IS totally loyal, just like his father was, and Darken may be making a big mistake in not letting Rachel marry him and use the rada'han. Darken is so paranoid that he suspects most people of the worst.

And there may be something a little more going on with Darken. He's a very possessive man, and he doesn't like to share. He knows Rachel would never love anyone who was confessed. It could come back to bite him - who knows!

Yes - the dream was painful to write. Rachel seems to have some pre-cognition, but are they things that could happen or will inevitably happen?

I appreciate honest feed-back, so always want to know what you're thinking.

Get some rest.

I still think the chapter is very good. Yes, I agree it's rather dry and... I don't know... detached... But after what's happened before I believe it should be.

And I think Rachel's precognition is something like Darken's ability to sense when things go wrong. She is a Rahl after all. She must have some kind of power besides Confession... Rahl blood magic...

It could come back to bite him - who knows!
That's what I'm afraid of. If I were him I would be careful not to push Rachel too far too soon. She deserves a break. And something nice in her life for a change. Something to make her happy.

I'm sorry I've upset you with my comment. I didn't mean to!

I love your story very, very much!
I'm just exhausted and don't handle dark very well right now.

Sorry about this.

Please don't be sad! I didn't mean to make you sad.

*hugs*

I'm so sorry BB!

LOL - I'm fine. Not mad and not sad.

Don't worry about telling me what you think - I want honest reactions.

I felt I had to have a chapter where Rachel and her father talk about her future and what was expected of her. And with all of the melodrama that has gone on before, it probably does come off as being rather - detached.

Don't worry and get some rest <3<3<3
