This was written for a challenge at
throneland. The challenge was to make front and back book covers for one or more of the characters, as well as write blurbs, and a summary of chapters in the book. This one's pretty primitive but I had fun with it.
We get extra points for doing a second one, so I'll have to see if I can come up with something else before next Friday. Some of the ideas that people came up with are completely off the wall and hilarious. I really love this land comm.
The character who wrote my book is Melisandre, the red sorceress, or just plain "Mel" now that she's started a new career as a self help guru.
Keep the Flame Alive.
On sale now at bookstores throughout Westeros.
Front Cover Back Cover Overview: Ever since her adventures in Westeros, Melisandre, who declines to reveal her family name, preferring to be called just “Mel”, has widened her horizons. The woman who was able to make the stone-cold Stannis Baratheon melt in her arms now wants to share her erotic secrets with the rest of the world.
Mel has already helped thousands of men and women with her advice, and now she wants to help you.
Chapter 1: Mel - The Early Years. Mel wasn’t always the fearless, beautiful priestess we see today. Once she was a gawky kid growing up in Asshai, ashamed of her hair, her freckles and her awkwardness around the opposite sex.
Chapter 2: The Red God. Mel finds her first vocation in serving the Lord of Light, R’hllor, developing a passion for fire - physical, emotional, sexual. She begins to use her powers, but for only one purpose - in service to the Red God. In the East, across the Narrow Sea, as a sorceress in training, Mel learns the arts of sexual arousal and pleasure. To her horror, once she arrives in Westeros, she finds that the delicacies of foreplay are unknown.
Chapter 3: Stannis. Certain that she has found the man who is Azor Ahai reborn, Stannis Baratheon, Mel uses all of her powers of seduction to bend him to her will. Stubborn to a fault, Mel’s is the only advice Stannis heeds. Unfortunately, Stannis, like most of the men in Westeros, has no interest in foreplay. It's a fault Mel can overlook for now, but she already glimpses a possible future in sex education once she sorts out all of this Iron Throne nonsense,
Chapter 4: A new vocation. Mel realizes that if she can seduce Stannis, she can seduce anyone, and pitying the citizens of Westeros for their sad ignorance of the art of love, Mel begins to share her secrets learned in the East with the nobility.
Chapter 5: Great sex is not just for the great. Mel realizes that everybody should be able to have orgasms, not just the high and mighty, and writes her book. It sells like wildfire, and despite the fact that winter is still coming, the women in Westeros are a lot happier than they've ever been before.
Chapter 6: The Next Step: Before the long winter sets in, Mel gives us a glimpse of her next project . Sorry, but you’ll have to buy the book to find out what that is.
