Got my tax refund back this week, which was nice. Money went from very tight to loose enough to have some breathing room and put some in savings.
Wife wants new end-tables for the bedroom, which we'll be getting in the next week or two (waiting on a 5% off card, might as well save as much as we can), I decided to splurge on some Rock Band stuff, so the Cymbal Kit is on it's way. I was tempted to just order a premium guitar for the game too, but held off before talking to the wife. Wife gave me the surprise go ahead, but by then (the next day) the price had risen almost $30 unexplicably. So, I'll just watch it for a while and live with what I have (that still works amazingly).
I'm a bit afraid about the Rock Band thing a bit because my regular parties I've been having have had less and less attendance of late. That was a lot of the fun and why I invested so much into it. I'm still enjoying solo play, so that's fine, it was just rather stressful having to cancel the last party I tried to throw the night before after having to track down 7 different people to get a final answer on their attendance. I'm trying again next week, and have already had 4 folks say yes (and might have some family down who will enjoy it), so I'm hopeful, but if it goes down again like it did last week, I may not run one again for a while. There's nothing quite like a room full of folks rocking out and singing along to some awesome songs, and the more folks we get, the more variety of songs we end up playing too, which is always good.
So, I'm feeling mostly unstressed outside of school work and OT (Put in over 56 hours this week, and this week is the final week for my last major oriented class, so I have a project due Sunday night). Just wish I could sleep. Got the kiddo today so I'll be up in about 5 hours or less. Going to pick up a few things for the wife's birthday.
