Best News in a While.
I finally got approved for my mortgage modification. Pretty reasonable terms, and while it's more expensive than the trial, it's a better solution than I was initially in line for, so we'll still be saving money, and a lot of the worry about the mortgage is taken care of.
We also have a floor!
Early September, we found a pipe leak in the Slab under the kitchen. They had to tear up from the middle of the utility room to under my stove. (about a 20 foot path going 2.5 feet down) and relay all the pipe there, and then we had to replace the floor. Unfortunately, the mortgage company had to get involved because of the large size of the fees, and they needed to authorize the release of the money once the work is done. This left a problem with the floor, as they needed to be paid before they put the floor in. Fortunately , someone stepped in and fronted us the money, thankfully.
