Haven't quite finished with the Turkey entries, nor got my pictures up! Oh well.
The Court of Appeal case was awesome, lasted till Thursday. The barrister who "borrowed" me was really kind, told me I'd helped her so much that if I was actually on my feet she'd have put both our names on the bottom of her skeleton argument, etc. (This was really a bit strong, I just sat there and let her bounce ideas off my forehead really! When I wasn't standing at the photocopier and dashing around putting bundles together, that is.) Also, she won the appeal (although on facts, not on a broader point of law she was arguing, but that's kind of by-the-by) so the Home Secretary will have to look at her client's new evidence again and have another go at deciding whether or not it constitutes a "fresh claim."
Now I'm with my pupil supervisor, G, full-time, which will involve a different family court in a different case daily. She also sets me homework of watching television. Last week was a mini-series on BBC1 called Criminal Justice, tonight she's asked me to watch University Challenge and practice taking a note of evidence. Forward!
