Employment law is just contract law with twists.

Barrister jargon is infectious. "I do not resile," "we concede," "those are my submissions," "unless I may be of further assistance" and "I appear on behalf of .../to resist ..." are already long-established in my vocabulary, and yesterday, to my amusement, "you have the advantage over me, sir" tripped easily off the tongue.

Tokyo Police Club is among a raft of acts making waves at this year's Juno Awards. I am undecided. I like the song Citizens of Tomorrow, but a lot of their works seems much of a muchness.

Scottish accents are trustworthy. I hadn't thought of it before, but in fact, this is how I react to Scottish accents ringing me from my bank or trying to sell me new phone plans. Even if I don't want the phone plans.
