I am becoming more and more in love with Regina Spektor, seriously. I only learned of her existence in the last month when Susannah started playing Fidelity. Here is the original music video for that.
Here is Samson, which is also a lovely song (the actual music video seems to have been removed due to a copyright claim), here is Musicbox, which doesn't have a hook in the same way but it's such a virtuoso piece of musicality I can't not draw attention to it. And here is Regina's cover of the great Leonard Cohen's "Hallelujah," in which, unlike most people who cover it, she manages to do something a little different. Mind you, it doesn't really matter what anyone does when they cover Hallelujah, it's a work of such genius it seems to withstand everything!
