Ach, Istanbul...
A friend of mine in the 'bul has just broken up with her boyfriend. She wants me to come visit her.
Obviously I can't right away. But we have a term break in late October. Suddenly I really, really want to go to Turkey for eight days or so, then.
Last year, I worked through term breaks. I worked straaaaaaaaaaaaaight through them.* Other people went away and did no work. I looked at them in disbelief, and with some disdain. Not taking it seriously enough, clearly.
I have a feeling this year will be no easier than last year.
But I miss Istanbul. And I have the pupillage already, dammit!
