Just spent about half of my measly 54 remaining kontörs speaking to McGill Law Admissions again. Yeah, them what told me I should hear this week. The conversation was OK, the lady was really nice this time, disappeared for awhile to actually find my application on the considering-the-applications-person's desk (while my kontörs dripped away... drip... drip), said she was jealous when she found out I was in İstanbul, yadda yadda... but again she said I "should hear by next week"! And added that the considering-woman-person is going to an LSAT conference next week and doing interviews all tomorrow (interviews! Dude, WHY are they doing interviews when they haven't considered all the applications submitted in JANUARY?) so "you know, she may not have time." Nonetheless, friendly-phone-lady said she'd put my application on the top of the pile and tell considerations-lady that I'm specially waiting.

Haven't heard from Oxford, either, but am less knotted up about that considering I, like, can't go anyway. And their letter or acceptance package may have been lost in Turkey's oh-so-reliable postal vortex system.

Meanwhile, the Dutch consul decided that before they can consider Seren's visa application, they have to call the German consul about an application they turned down a few years ago when Seren was supposed to go with his mother to visit his uncle in Germany. As of today, the German consul hadn't returned the Dutch consul's phone call, and Seren's attempt to prompt them on to it by telling them that his plane ticket is for Friday morning was met with "we'll get to it when we get to it, boy, now run along"

Seren's delaying his plane ticket until Saturday. I may have to whip some consular arse if they don't get on this. His first entrance exam is scheduled for Monday, in the Hague.

Katherine's started work, Kitty's bought an Egypt guidebook, Alison's plotting a little holiday after her resignation comes into effect, Gabriel's also got a job at English First for when HE leaves, and Brody actually emailed me, shock of all shocks. I, meanwhile, am still enjoying teaching, but loathing planning with the red fiery hot fires of even more thousands of fiery hot hells than I did before. And procrastinating accordingly.
