I went into this weekend fearing the worst at work, but amazingly, while it certainly wasn't a great one, it was better than expected. "Better than I thought and worse than I hoped" was the line I used earlier today. It was grad weekend, so I figured that we'd be royally screwed, but we weren't, so while I did a bunch of grunt-work that I don't normally have to do, it wasn't that bad.
Reading another great comic at the moment: Ex Machina. Its a Vertigo title about a former superhero, a low-powered guy that can make machines do what he tells them, who ends up mayor of New York due to his heroism on 9/11 (he saved the second tower by telling the plane to land before it hit the tower). Its written by Brian K. Vaughn, the guy who wrote Runaways and writes Y: The Last Man, so its certainly got good writing chops behind it. I'm up to about issue 14, and its a keeper. I'll be looking for the trades once I can afford them.
Watched the first full show of wrestling in a long time tonight. The WWE Draft was tonight, a fake draft where they "randomly" move people between their three shows. It was an okay show, with some good matches, and it ended with Vince getting blown up, so it can't be all that bad (thankfully, he won't be on the show now). We'll see if it changes anything the company does after tonight.
My parents got us a BBQ yesterday, which is very cool, as I would not have been able to get one this year, I'm sure. I'm looking forward to having a nice steak or burger that isn't fried up on the stove! I'll probably set it up tomorrow, and try it out. I can hear Blogosaurus cringing from here. :)
