Three Days and a Break In The Storm

Today was the final day of my marathon of work, although my day at the game store, as expected, could hardly be called work. More like babysitting so the boss can have the day off. I didn't sit on my ass like I intended to do, since I found Carey (the kid who runs our Warhammer league) waiting at the door when I arrived. This led standing around more than I meant to, but I still did little work (in my defense, Shawn only had a small list for me). Tuesday seems to be the worst day of the week for that store, and today did little to change that belief, although I make up for it by bringing goodies to Pat's on Tuesdays and selling stuff.

Which brings us to playing another WoW draft, this time at Pat's. Like last week, a fun time was had by all, as draft is such a good way to play that game, balancing everyone to some degree as its not about how much you've spent on the game, but your deckbuilding skill. I ended up with a sweet Horde Warlock deck, and other than drafting an Alliance-only Warlock Rare (duh!), I did pretty good. The only deck I lost to in our round robin was Pat's Horde Hunter deck, which just out-allied me. He then beat me again in the grudge match, as we were both 5-1. It was a good night of games, with everyone pretty competitive. The lucky bastards all get to go to the prerelease of the new set this weekend while I work, so I'll be pouting a lot on Saturday.

Last but definitely not least, I finally saw Chayla tonight between the end of my shift and heading to Pat's. She seemed to be in good spirits for someone doing dishes, and while I didn't have an in-depth talk with her, my initial gut feeling is a positive one. We'll see more when I'm off work tomorrow.
