The Legend of Everfree, which plays during the opening credits and bus ride to the camp. It's similar to the Apple Family song in Pinkie Apple Pie.

So, Twilight has transferred to Canterlot High and is plagued by a repeating nightmare where she is stalked and taken over by her daemon counterpart, Midnight Sparkle. The Canterlot High students have raised enough money to go Camp Everfree and when Twilight finally wakes up from her nightmare within a dream of waking up from a nightmare, she's on the bus to camp with all her friends plus Spike. Who still talks. It's a "class field trip", which I guess explains why there's just the one bus and the CMC aren't there.
There are two camp counselors, Furiosa Gloriosa Daisy and Timber Spruce. Timber Spruce is also Twilight's love interest and they waste no time sizing each other up. I couldn't help but notice five coloured crystals dangling from Gloriosa's choker as she welcomes all to the camp. There is also obvious tension between her and Timber, setting the stage for a Scooby Mystery.
At camp all seven main characters manifest magical powers. Twilight levitates stuff, Fluttershy communicates with animals, Dash is fast, Applejack is strong, Rarity projects shields, Pinkie makes confetti explode, and Sunset reads minds. Twilight would rather no one know about her levitating stuff because she fears becoming Midnight Twilight again. It take Sunset a while to find out that she reads minds now. It only happens when she touches someone.
Timber Spruce tells a ghost story about some forest gaia lending the woods to camp and sure enough, weird things happen. Twilight thinks she's making that happen and runs off but Sunset stops her. Sunset is the suspicious sort and her snooping eventually leads her to discover Gloriosa entering a cave in the forbidden quarry, so she texts Twilight who joins her. There, via mind reading, Sunset learns that Filthy Rich is about to acquire the lake property and bring an end to Camp Everfree. Gloriosa collects two more crystals steeped in Equestria magic and becomes a Poison Ivy type Daemon. Sunset and Twilight want to stop Gloriosa, so she traps them there inside the cave.
Gloriosa's plan is to wall off the camp with brambles and keep the campers there forever. The main five try to thwart Gloriosa with their superpowers, but fail. Twilight and Sunset break free from the cave, get in through the brambles, and fail, somehow (that part of the battle is missing). Anyway, Twilight, through the support of her friends, embraces the magic of Friendship, collects the seven crystals off Gloriosa, each of the main cast gets one and together all seven main characters power up and smash the bramble prison into green glowy smithereens. The crystals turn into pendants and all seven main characters are in über dresses. Sunset has to be careful she doesn't gouge an eye out with her spiky epaulets. I wonder what her Element is.
So, there's still a problem: paying the bills so that Filthy doesn't acquire the camp. The answer: instant fundraiser ball and fashion show in the crystal Cave. Starting with a targeted letter drive, on paper (not email or social media). Fortunately Flash Dash is really, really fast.
Camp is saved, Twilight and Timber plan to date, Sunset and Flash Sentry are due to hook up, other subplots come to fruition, and magic seeps out of a crack in a pedestal in front of Canterlot High.
This was a surprisingly good movie. 8^) 8/10
P.S.: Apparently Sunset Shimmer has taken a shine to being an alien naked ape. Her Equestria Girl form is "amazing".
