MLP Expansion: More Pie For Everypony

Apr 01, 2016 11:35

On the heels of research into trends on the internet and after extensive testing in their Toy Room, Hasbro has a new all ages, all genders spin-off from their My Little Pony and Equestria Girls lines. The Monster High idea has run it's course with mediocre sales so Hasbro is branching off into chibi dolls and lesbian horse women.

Their research into fanfiction authors has shown that lesbian shipping appeals to girls and that horse racing appeals to boys, and both are into video games. Thus, in partnership with Cygames, Hasbro presents Uma Musume Pretty Derby.

The concept of the game involves a mash-up of an idol-raising simulator with a horse-racing mechanic, except the idols and horses in question are one and the same. They're anthropomorphic horse girls. There is also a selective breeding mechanic (demo video below the cut) that will allow the player to improve their stable of singers/runners and win the derby. Since they're all female, I suspect the stable can grow quite fast.

As is usual for Hasbro and Cygames, the game will be backed up with a cartoon series (on Toonami), scheduled for release this fall.

April foals!
