...but maybe they have this @ Poundland!

Or maybe it's too good for Poundland, idk.

They should have used Rarity for marshmallows though haha. But Hasbro has decided she's not that popular or something.

Off to Poundland for the win, I hope someone scores a Rainbow tin!

Rarity came up in the Skype call with Lauren Faust on the Old Grey Mare livestream last night. When Lauren Faust was pitching her concept, one exec was not enamored with Rarity. She (the exec) saw only the vain, fashion obsessed pony, she didn't yet see all the layers to Rarity's personality: her artistry, her generosity and her work ethic.

That's interesting and it's too bad because Rarity's personality is really the best part.

I figure a white pony with an indigo mane doesn't sell as well as pink and rainbows but I do see moms buying Rarity for their kids. She's also supposed to be the least popular with bronies, idk?

Rarity does quite well in the polls I've seen. It's Applejack, and to some extent, Pinkie Pie that suffer in the lack of character exploration and depth. 8^(

As for merch, Rarity may have been left out of the 2011 Gift Set, but she was one of the five chosen for shelf space as a blister-pack 'blind bag' figure (Fluttershy was left out and was selling for obscene amounts on eBay) and I think she was the first of the Mane Six to have a Fashion Size brushable. Applejack is usually the odd pony out in group shots on merch, not Rarity. (Why only five? Is it like there's a huge spike in what licensees pay when going from five ponies to six?)

Rarity rocks and Bronies know it. ^_^
