has been eating great chunks out of the leaves of my bay tree. Ok, so it's a bay bush, but something has been eating it. Considering all the aromatics bayleaves contain it must be a pretty strong-stomached something. There are curved gaps along the edges of the leaves, and one leaf mid-rib where the rest of the leaf has been devoured.
Thinx: probably not slugs or snails. Maybe caterpillars of some kind, or leafcutter bees - I've had them on a rose in the yard before now. Hmmm, maybe I should go out one evening after dark & have a look. Not that it gets really dark in our yard, what with the adjacent streetlight & all.
Still, I shall ponder on the wildlife we harbour. Y'all have a good day now!
