Honestly, the closest I could come to that would be to say that I helped get my little brother out of a pretty negative environment in VA and change lifestyles completely.
He was going on 13, but still had the mind and social skills of a five-year old... and if I had chosen to stay in VA past the time I did, he would have as well, and he would not have developed nearly as much as he did. I think that my father and my stepmother have done words to develop him to becoming a person. I don't think that it would have happened nearly as quickly (if at all) had he stayed in Virginia.
Phoenix, due to tendencies in the past to have built up a paradise and when it was at its prime, do one thing to completely demolish it. "Out of the ashes" rises a new spirit, and a new appreciation for life.
BONUS: I was going to have a phoenix coming out of the ashes tattooed on my left shoulder, but I didn't want to peg myself with the self-destructive personality for the rest of my life. instead, this week I'm getting f-holes (on any orchestra instrument) tattooed on my lower back.
