This was written for the heck of it... I hadn't written lyrics for so long, so with some inpiration from Alanis morisette and Poe, I set to work to get some lines off my mind.
VI:
Hey girl-- it's okay to have your mother's eyes
It's okay to walk your father's strides
As long as you are your own person
Hey girl-- it's okay to form some life ambissions
It's okay to take risks to complete your mission
And long as that mission's yours...
And did you ever ask to mend a broken heart
Did you ever triumph over emotions that tear apart
Did you ever conquer, or fail to fall away
From something you wanted so badly, you'd do
Anything to stay
CHR
And if you say you hate this life,
Why don't you try to turn it round?
You're the only one you'll have to please, so
Why do you tear your precious dreams down?
Why do you do it? Your time is now...
VII:
Hey girl-- it's fine to think that nothing's above you
And to say someone can only take so much
Only if you believe it
Hey girl-- it's good to rebel once in a while
And sometimes you gotta fake another smile
To make it through another day
Did you ever try to step back and breathe in life
And were you ever satisfied
Did you ever think of today as your last day
To say the things you'd never say?
P.S. Hey girl--
Don't be afraid to love life...
(it's the only thing for certain.)
