Today is exactly 8 weeks of dieting and today I broke 20lbs of weight loss, equaling 2.5 lbs/week. I like those numbers. A couple more weeks at this rate should take off another 5 lbs and then I'll reevaluate my target weight. I'm suspecting I'll stop there. The question is, what should I do for a holding pattern. I can't return to old habits, for that is what got me here in the first place. Do I continue with the green tea extract, to keep my metabolism higher? What is the good and bad sides to that plan? More harm than benefit? I might take a look and see if anyone has done any studies. Likely, I might drop down the number that I take per day, slowly adjusting those, while adjusting my calorie intake, trying to find a balance. I will likely keep a close eye on the scale for the next 6 months so I will know what is working best.
As for other updates, Rozi's cabinet is done and looks great. I had to adjust the shelves a bit, because we plan to use it for kitchen appliances, such as the mixer and such. They tend to be tall. Syrup is coming along well, although the last batch yielded 2 liters, we only bottled 1.25 liters. 3/4 of a liter was lost to filtering. That hurts. So Rozi is going to look into rigging up some multi screen process so that we won't be losing so much to absorption by the cheese cloth.
Right now the electrician is downstairs continue work to get better power out to the carriage house. I need to finish up the taxes. I did 98% of the work, now I just want to go through it all from scratch to make sure I didn't miss anything important. I learned to bake bread this weekend (we hosted a bread making workshop) so I'm practicing the fine art of making truly nasty gluten-free bread. She doesn't mind how it turned out, but she's gotten used to eating the awful stuff they sell in the stores so it's all relative.
