So my life is back on track! So I'm back on the nets! So I've started writing again! Well...I say started...
For some reason, I decided to google "Soul Catcher Sakina" and to my surprise this came up:
http://skow.byethost18.com/nom.php?old It turns out that someone nominated me for SkoW Round 9's "Hook, Line, and Sinker" Award so a huge THANK YOU and a shower of virtual e-cookies to whoever it was! Being one of the writers up there has been such a huge dream of mine but...I totally wish someone had actually told me about this though... >__<
Like, even knowing about something like that would've been the kick up the backside that I needed to get me back into the writing world. And then maybe I'd have gotten people to vote for me too kekeke >:3
Same with when I got nominated for the Campanella Awards too:
http://www.campanella-awards.webs.com/nominees.html I spent most of today re-reading
Soul Catcher and going 'urrrrk' at all of the hideous errors and bad writing that I managed to spot. There are so many bits that I winced at, and so many places where I thought, 'I can totally do a better job of that now', however, there were also a lot of places that really awed me and made me go, 'huh, did I really write that?' ...it's true what they say, you really need to give yourself space to allow yourself to take up a critical eye.
Anyhow, I think I'll try to finish the story before I go back and re-edit. I managed to write a messy plan for the rest of the events and am hoping, nay, praying that this will be wrapped up before I hit the 100,000 word count. Hunh, fp word count has added an extra 6,000 words. Yeah. What?
