I've got notes to write a long post or three, but those are for later since I'm tired and not hitting on all cylinders.
How often does the attending doctor attend a funeral? Especially for a patient that was comatose when she first saw him?
The sheer number of people attending the viewings and funeral was surreal. Normally the police don't bother blocking traffic for funerals in that area - they decided to when they found out the church's capacity was being exceeded by 100%.
The amount of support from the neighborhood completely flabbergasted me. Some people left car keys at my sister's house for the week, not knowing who would be driving the cars. There are enough left overs to feed the 6 people in the house for a number of days if you're not too fussy about varying your diet and ignore that the nieces are vegetarian. (Everybody ate the vege stuff, after all.)
