Gizka Information:
Character Name: Sirius Black
Age: 36
Canon: Harry Potter
Appearance:
Sirius is tall. And sexy. The end.
No, but really. He had long black hair and gray eyes, with an almost aristocratic beauty to him. At least, when he's not depressed or maltreated. There is a tinge of darkness to him, partially due to his smug personality and partially due to his time in prison.
… He's still really sexy, though. Mmmm, Hans Matheson.
Personality:
Sirius Black is a broken man. It is the most important aspect of his personality by this time.
Once, before he entered into the First Wizarding War with Voldemort, he had a slightly more balanced attitude. He was carefree and felt himself to be important, as any young man would feel about himself. He was a prankster, although to some people, his jokes might not have been funny as much as they were harmful and the mark of a self-important bully. Despite this, Sirius was a good man, who often stood up for not only his closest friends, but for others. Having come from a pureblood family, his ideas of Muggles greatly differed from that of the rest of his family's, and he was not ashamed of rubbing those ideas in their faces as long as he could.
This young and immature part of him still exists, in a slightly more broken way. At twenty-one, his best friend and his wife, James and Lily Potter, were murdered by Voldemort. Their deaths unhinged Sirius, who completely blamed himself for it. It was on his suggestion that another friend of theirs be the Secret Keeper. Until the day of his death, Sirius never quite forgave himself for it.
There is a touch of madness in Sirius. After Pettigrew had faked his death and killed 12 Muggles, framing Sirius for it, the Ministry of Magic finally caught up to the young man, who was laughing. It became quite a famous story that Sirius Black laughed all the way to Azkaban. Azkaban led to a further disconnection to reality. The Wizard Prison was meant to break the spirits of those it held inside, by the very nature of its guards. Sirius spent twelve long years in Azkaban, during his formative years of mental growth. The nature of the Dementors is to suck out the happiness in a person and drive them insane. Instead of allowing himself to fall completely into madness, he held on to the belief that he was innocent. Instead of turning it into a happy thought, it became an obsession. A twelve-year long obsession. Sirius Black was innocent, and nobody would take that from him.
Even though he has many good qualities to him, such as his fierce loyalty to those he loves and cares for, and his unwavering bravery that marks him as the Gryffindor he was in school, Sirius is also a hypocrite. He teaches Harry that a man should be judged on how he treats those that are below him, but he often torments the house elf that had belonged to his family, making clear how much he utterly loathes the creature. He is also not above keeping hold of very old grudges, still treating his old plaything, Severus Snape, as nothing but someone he can pull horrible pranks on.
Sirius is also marked by cleverness. He was a self-taught Animagus by the time he was fifteen, a feat that wizards often take years to accomplish. His cleverness, obsession with innocence, and the fact that he could shift himself into a dog was how he ended up being the only prisoner to ever escape from Azkaban. He realized that Dementors couldn't properly sense the thoughts of an animal's brain, and so sought solace often by becoming a dog. It was because of this, as well, that he was able to retain much of himself rather than become a raving lunatic, though what did happen to him had left a permanent mark regardless.
Whether it was because of Azkaban, or part of his normal psyche, there is a rage he carries inside of him. He can become explosive, which seems to be something shared within the Black family. It often can come across as a teenager who is throwing a tantrum. Despite his age, having spent years inside of the most desolate place on Earth, Sirius never fully matured into a proper adult. On the other side of the rage, there is a deep depression that often settles itself over the man. He doesn't enjoy being locked up-caged as he would believe-or being away from people for long periods of time. It ends up blackening his mood in a wicked way, covering him until he becomes like his former self-haunted, forlorn, and in a state of madness.
All in all, Sirius is a clever and powerful wizard with strong ideals and a need to prove himself, although he does not often find the right course to go about his actions.

Sirius' background is
here! I am taking Sirius from after his death in Order of the Phoenix.
Special Abilities or Weapons:
In his canon, Sirius is a wizard with a high ability. His teachers often described his magic abilities as powerful, and one of his own best friends commented that Sirius was the most clever student in their class.
At a young age, he taught himself how to become an Animagus, a wizard who can take the shape of an animal. I'm not sure how to translate into the Force, but he has the ability to become a dog, and it is exceptionally important to his characterization.
He was also exceptionally good at nonverbal magic, being able to do transformation and defensive spells without speaking, and with healing magic, having been able to quickly heal himself after an injury.
His dueling skills were also on par. He fought with two very powerful wizards at once and were able to best them. Having been in two wizarding wars and fought with Voldemort's most powerful followers, he is able to hold his own and fight in return.
Sirius also knows how to fight physically. C:

First Person:
[the video feed cuts on to reveal a sleeping man clad only in simple white underwear. A droid rolls in front of the camera, beeping softly as it pokes the man in the bed.
:c He appears to be a light sleeper as he bolts up with a wild look in his eyes, pointing his hand at the poor droid as though he were holding something in it. He's not, of course, but the droid still blows up]
Well, then... That's never happened before. [the devilishly handsome man glances down at his hand, completely unaware of the camera as he frantically looks around the room]
I'm not beyond the Veil anymore...
[he sighs before flopping back on the bed and muttering to himself] Now the place smells like smoke.
Third Person:
Sirius stared down at the object in his hand, the metal cold and unfamiliar. He turned it over, wondering if maybe he could get used to it. It was nothing like his wand, thinner and made of wood. Which was only two of the differences between the two objects. Moving his thumb, he engaged the silver wand, watching the stream of light emerge with a snaphiss, casting a blue glow along the floor.
Lightsaber, they called it.
All he could see, really, was another piece of Muggle technology fused together with the magic of wizards and witches.
A wry smile took over his face as he moved his wrist around, effectively twisting the blade. If only back home, such things could be accomplished. These Jedi, they seemed to have the right idea about it all.
“I think I could definitely get used to this place,” he said to nobody in particular, considering that he was alone. But having a conversation out loud-even one with himself-was far more preferable than making proclamations in his head.
“Master Black,” a younger apprentice called from behind him, and suddenly he wasn't alone, a broad grin stretching across his face as he turned to face the boy.
Whether he was smiling from being called “master” or just the company, the boy wasn't aware of. And Sirius wasn't telling.
Anything Else: Can he room with James Potter? 8D
