Orihime liked odd foods. She liked any food, really, as long as it wasn't purple and didn't smell like pears (for some reason, she had a phobia of pears). So was it any wonder that sweet, bumbling Ishida was browsing the grocery store, telling himself firmly that no, he wasn't going to do anything special for lunch and no, he most certainly wasn't going to hand it to her because he oddly enough wasn't hungry? No, of course not - because the sight of Ishida shopping in what just-so-happened to be the store in Orihime's district was oh-so-not-really common.
At least, that's apparently what the girl thought when she tripped over him, with a feminine little shriek of surprise, her bread and strawberry jam and melon soda flying in all sorts of directions. Orihime, after all, never shopped with a basket... which was quite to her detriment when she tripped over anything. (Of course, she managed to trip every time she went shopping...)
And so, poor sweet, bumbling Ishida could only stare as she pushed herself upright, anxiously asking, "Are you all right? I'm so sorry about that. Are you hurt anywhere?"
... and apparently, she didn't recognize him.
"I'm fine," he managed, swiftly turning his face so that she absolutely would not suddenly realize who he was, feeling his ears burn with embarrassment. "Uh, your food... fell..."
And promptly began to pick the various items up, being as gentlemanly as always.
Orihime stared at his profile curiously. "You look like--"
"Ah, here's your soda!" he interrupted quickly, shoving them into her arms - all without glancing her way.
"Thank you..." she managed, before he quickly dashed out of the shop.
So she sat there and he stood there and she wondered if he saw the pear juice or if he wondered why she was buying pear juice, and was it any surprise Tatsuki was giggling hysterically in her room right that moment, wondering just what Orihime would do with the newfound knowledge that Ishida loved pears?
