damn skeeters got me good.
my new hobby is gardening. ross (one of the people i met at the mayday party) has an awesome landlord who gave him a piece of land to make a community garden. it's so great. yesterday i planted cucumbers. we also have broccoli, squash, collard greens, tomatoes, beans, okra, cantaloupe, strawberries, sunflowers, and carrots. later in the season we'll plant taters.
some of ross's friends live right next to the garden, so yesterday after we all finished staking the tomatoes and planting and weeding and tilling we cooked a big dinner with broccoli and collard greens from our little patch of earth. we had veggie quesadillas, collard greens, black beans, brown rice, and sweet green tea. it was amazing.
