I can't seem to get to my webspace right now, so while I'm working that out, here it is from DevArt.
The pic was sketched by hand (on paper), scanned, and then outlined and coloured in Photoshop.
Most of it went well; I enjoy drawing by hand a lot more than sketching on the tablet, but that's because things seem to turn out better that way. Irvine was fun to draw because I like him, although I had trouble with the damned hat, of course.
I of course liked the sketch better than the computer sketch, and I liked the computer sketch better than the coloured one. I used to be much better at shadings -- probably because I spent more time on them, and took more... risks. The pic looks "flat" to me, and I think I need to get a little messier / crazier / something. I am being boring with the shading, and I think it shows.
Anyway, I wouldn't rate it all that highly, but it's done. XD
