empty, full, and empty again

new stockings, originally uploaded by broken press.
Christmas is over, and I suppose I am glad about that. Somehow I kept it together, despite being disappointed with a some events that transpired. Some people drank through the holiday, others tried to cancel it at the last minute, I tried to keep it all together. Today I let it out, processed the what I didn't like about Chistmas this year. I thought I would break down, but a few tears, a couple minutes of hopelessness and it was out, I felt better.

It wasn't all bad though, Jackson had a great time, and ultimately that is enough for me. He was a constant joy. He loved his homemade presets as much as his store bought ones, but his he seemed to give the homemade ones an extra little hug. On Christmas Eve our firends Alexis and Allen dropped off the most amazing package of baked goodies and homemade candies-- marshmallows, sour cranberry lime gelees, and cranberry panettones-- yum!

I made new stockings for the boys, they were a big hit. Our idea to give each other presents we made was a lot of fun, a lot of work too, but worth it. I also made at least 10 lbs of granola, and at least 12 jars of cocoa.
