ATTN: Computer Friendly People

Our computer has decided it's not going to like us and we can't sign in to windows. Like at the first pretty blue screen where the user icons would be to click on to open your desktop have all disapeared. We were working on some pictures for a site and it froze... no big deal and when we turned it back on it wouldn't give us the icons. I thought it needed to just rest maybe we had turned it on too soon but it's been doing this for a few days.

Does anyone know how to fix this without losing everything on the computer.
